On october 14 the paddy arrival was 9068 MT with progressive arrival being 102540 MT. The purchase details include 24916 MT by Pungrain, 40445 MT by Markfed, 16918 MT by Punsup, 12968 MT by Punjab State Warehousing Corporation, 7017 by Food Corporation India and 134 by Millers. DC appealed to farmers to harvest the paddy only through Super S.M.S Combines. He further appealed to farmers to avoid the harvest of crop during 7:00 PM to 09:00 AM as it may increase the rate of Moisture in the crops.
