Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of the Government of Punjab informed that out of the total procurement of 1089174 MT of paddy from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 1059192 MT of paddy while 29982 MT has been procured by the millers. Giving the details, the spokesman said that PUNGRAIN had procured 338007 tonnes, MARKFED procured 267542 tonnes and PUNSUP procured 220776 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation and Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation procured 102349 and 114092 MT paddy respectively. The Centre government agency FCI has procured 16426 MT paddy.
