Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of the Government of Punjab informed that out of the total procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 8112108 MT of paddy while 65499 MT has been procured by the millers. Giving the details, the spokesman said that PUNGRAIN has procured 2748669 tonnes, MARKFED 1898022 tonnes and PUNSUP procured 1658195 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation and Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation procured 812728 and 845454 MT paddy respectively. The Centre government agency FCI has procured 149040 MT paddy.
