CM FELICITATES INDIAN JUNIOR HOCKEY TEAM FOR LIFTING WORLD CUP

Chandigarh, December 19-
Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today felicitated the Indian Junior Hockey team for creating history by lifting the Junior Hockey World Cup after 15 years.
In a congratulatory message, the Chief Minister lauded the emphatic victory of Indian team by defeating the Belgium by 2-1. He said that it was a matter of great honour and pride for all Punjabis that five players in Indian squad including Captain Mr. Harjeet Singh hailed from the state. Mr. Badal hoped that this rare feat of Indian juniors would go a long way to inspire millions of youngsters who strive hard to excel in the arena of sports.
Wishing the team for a bright future and success ahead, the Chief Minister expressed hope that team would further bring more laurels to the country in the field of sports besides restoring the pristine glory of India in international Hockey by winning such more titles.
