PUNJAB CM DIRECTS STEPS TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS OF CHHAUNI KALAN VILLAGE

Nabaz-e-Punjab Bureau, Hoshiarpur, May 8:
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has directed local district officials to resolve the problems of the residents of Chhauni Village, including upgradation of the link road with Boothgarh, on priority.
Talking to the residents of the village, the chief minister assured of his government’ full support in the upgradation of the essential infrastructure in order to bring the area on the track of development and progress.
The villagers urged the chief minister to take the necessary steps for the upgradation of the Chhauni Kalan-Boothgarh link road to meet the growing traffic pressure resulting from an increasing number of people using the route to avoid toll tax. Captain Amarinder immediately asked the officials concerned to look into the matter and resolve the issue at the earliest.
Responding to the villagers’ demand for upgradation of the middle school to the higher secondary level, the chief minister said the school was being adopted by the Sonalika Group, which would also take other initiatives, including installation of street lighting, to improve the conditions in the village.
Other issues which the chief minister has promised to look into relate to the upgradation of the health centre into a dispensary with a regular doctor, creation of dumps for garbage disposal and a proper sewage system in the village.
