The Chief Minister extended his sympathies for the bereaved family and relatives of Avtar Singh, who passed away on Thursday in Delhi after a brief illness, at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife and two sons. Captain Amarinder Singh prayed for peace for the departed soul and courage for the family. Avtar Singh Thind, a former Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes, was cremated at Lodhi Road cremation ground in Delhi on Friday afternoon.
