Over 70,000 litres of milk, 6815 Kg curd, 890 Kg paneer, 5896 Ltr lassi supplied in Mohali

45 tonnes of vegetables also provided door to door

For maintaining consistent supply of milk to people, the District Administration has coordinated with Verka and 73840 litres of milk has been supplied to the people living in the Mohali City on Saturday.
Infact, over 70,000 litres of milk is being distributed daily since the imposition of curfew.
Disclosing this, the DC Girish Dayalan said that along with milk, 890 Kg Paneer, 6815 Kg of Curd and 5896 Litres of lassi has also been supplied to the people on Saturday. Added to this,the small milk vendors are also supplying milk door to door. Besides, 45 tonnes of vegetables have also been supplied to the people.
It is worth mentioning that the empanelled neighbourhood grocery stores and big retail stores like Reliance, Easy Day and the e-commerce companies like Bhejo, groffers etc. are taking online orders from people for supply of essential items. The District Administration has also roped in ‘Swiggy’ company which would support supply of groceries from karyana stores to people at their doorsteps from Monday.
