PGI nurse and cop fight: Cross-case registered

A day after a Punjab Police cop booked for thrashing a PGI nurse along with her daughter and brother, Nayagaon police have also registered a cross case against the nurse and her family on the counter allegations of ASI Diler Khan.
A case was registered last night against ASI Diler Khan, posted at PAP 13 Battalion, Chandigarh and his family members under Sections 323, 294, 506, 148 and 149 of the IPC. Now the same Sections have been registered against the PGI nurse Sushila Rohila and her family.
The victim, Sushila Rohila (44), a resident of Shivalik Vihar, Nayagaon is posted as a nursing officer in PGI, Chandigarh. She said in her complaint that the accused cop ASI Diler Khan along with his wife, Shakila, two daughters and a son thrashed her and her daughter with sticks.
Sushila stated that on Sunday night, her daughter, Pranjal went outside their home when the cop in uniform, Diler Khan allegedly abused her. After that, the Sushila came outside and intervened following which heated arguments took place between both the families. In the meantime, cop’s wife Shakila pulled the hairs of Sushila and pushed her down. Then, Diler Khan along with his family members attacked Sushila, her daughter and brother with sticks leading to which Sushila’s head started bleeding. The victim was admitted to PGI from where she has been discharged today.
Sushila said, “They were beating us mercilessly. They had around 4-5 sticks in their hands” while adding that “The cop and his family are threatening us for the last five years. I have also submitted the complaint against them.”
Nayagaon Station House Officer, Ashok Kumar said, “We are investigating the matter at initial level as few statements of the victims are yet to be recorded. No arrest has been made yet.”
