The accused has been identified as Ashish Thakur (29), a resident of Solan district in Himachal Pradesh. The accused was produced before a local court today which sent him to three-day police remand. Ashish was nabbed by the police at the blockade, laid near new ISBT chowk in Mohali. On suspicious, the cops stopped him and on checking, 68 tablets of marijuana weighing around 500 gram, were recovered from his possession. Inspector Manphul Singh said, “During the interrogation, we learnt that he used to purchase the marijuana from Himachal Pradesh and sell it to the youth of Tricity. Further investigation is on.” A case has been registered against him in this regard at the Phase 1 police station.
