A hockey player died in a road mishap

Nabaz-e-Punjab, Mohali, November 16:
A 20-year old man died in a road accident after his motorcycle fell down on the road after loosing control last night near traffic lights of Sector 68/78 on Airport road here.
The victim has been identified as Prateek Sharma, a resident of Bathinda. Prateek was a hockey player and was currently putting up in Sector 86 here in a rented accommodation.
According to the police, the incident took place around 11.30 pm last night when Prateek was going to his house on his bike. The bike lost control after hitting with a hard object following which Prateek sustained severe injuries. He was taken to Civil Hospital in Phase 6 by a PCR vehicle where doctors declared him brought dead.
ASI Sanjay Kumar, the investigation officer said, “It was not clear whether the bike hit with a tree or other object. A DDR has been filled in this regard at the Sohana police station and the post mortem of the victim would be conducted on Tuesday.”
