Mohali Police arrested Handler of Lawrance Bishnoi & Raju Basodia Group

Nabaz-e-Punjab, Mohali, March 10:
In a major breakthrough, SAS Nagar Police have arrested two active members of Lawrance Bishnoi and Raju Basodia group Vijay Kumar s/o Bahadar Singh r/o Village Mehmadpur Tehsil Derabassi Distt SAS Nagar along with Manpreet Singh @Bhau s/o Sukhpal Singh r/o Dhaipi PS Jaito and recovered .32 calibre pistol along with cartridges. There are ten criminal cases registered against both the arrested accused in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
Sh. Satinder Singh, PPS, SSP, SAS Nagar briefed the media that Vijay was lodged in Jail in the year 2015, where he came in contact with gangster Lawrance Bishnoi. He was released from jail in 2016 and fled to Bangalore. In 2017, gangster Deepak Tinu and gangster Sampat Nehra who were absconding in many criminal cases, travelled to him and he provided them hideout. Deepak Tinu got arrested by Haryana police and Vijay managed to escape and absconded. In March 2018, he travelled to Malaysia with the help of some travel agent who is based at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
SSP, SAS Nagar briefed that during his stay in Malyasia, he made extortion calls to different persons on the directions of Lawrance Bishnoi and Raju Basodia. He has also planned dacoities/robberies in Ambala and Chandigarh in 2018 and 2019 respectively in one of the dacoities owner of Jewellery shop was murdered at Sarafa Bazar, Ambala. In these crimes, deceased gangster Ankit Bhadu was also involved. In August 2019, he travelled to Australia but he was deported back to India by Australian immigration authority due to his fake documents. He shifted his base at Banglore again and started handling the criminal activities of the gang.
SSP, SAS Nagar further briefed that Manpreet Singh @ Bhau is also old associate of Lawrance Bishnoi and involved in criminal activities of the gang. In Dec-2020, there was an attempt to murder case registered at PS City Faridkot in which the attackers were provided hideout by Manpreet Singh @ Bhau on the directions of Lawrance Bishnoi. Both the above mentioned accused Vijay Kumar and Manpreet Singh @ Bhau are arrested in FIR No. 16 dated 10-03-2021 u/s 25 Arms Act PS Sadar Kurali.
