Mrs. Janvi Dureja, Astt. Professor, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UPIS), Chandigarh was the Guest Speaker on the occasion. Students of B. Pharmacy, D. Pharmacy, GNM, ANM, B.Sc (Agri), Diploma (Agri) etc attended the seminar. Prof. B.S Sidhu, Director, Aryans presided over the function. Mrs Janvi Dureja while addressing the students said that drug interaction can be life-threatening and in severe cases can even lead to death. Treatment by semi-qualified pharmaceutics should be avoided and the person should never get involved in self-medication as we are not aware of our body symptoms clearly. Dureja further told the serious consequences of Drug interaction on the individual, family and society. She advised on the consumption of drugs and to stay from drug addiction. Prof. B.S Sidhu said that the concept and theory of Drug Interaction need to be addressed very seriously and effectively and all the stakeholders need to contribute their efforts in this regard. Dr. Raman Rani Gupta, Director, Academics; Mr Stephen Jawinda, Registrar; Mrs Kalindi Madaan, HoD, Pharmacy Department, Mr Dhiraj Mehta, HoD Agri Department, Ms Himanshi, HoD, Nursing Department were also present on the occasion.
