Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Bhola drug case: CBI court declares Anoop Kahlon PO Harshabab Sidhu Nabaz-e-Punjab, Mohali, December 2: A special CBI court in Mohali has declared Anoop Singh Kahlon, an accused in Punjab’s notorious Jagdish Bhola drug case, as PO (Proclaimed Offender) today. Enforcement Directorate (ED) counsel Jagjit Singh Sarao was also present during the hearing. It has been reported that he had not attended the hearings of the court in the recent past. Sources said that the accused Anoop Singh had gone abroad and has been arrested by the foreign police. He is currently in police custody in South Africa. Another accused named in the case, Harmesh Gab, has had his bail bond seized by the court. It is learnt that at the request of the ED, a CBI court had attached about 30 properties of the accused’s family to the case. But the accused had very cleverly sold two properties worth lakhs of rupees. Upon learning of this, the ED, through its counsel Jagjit Singh Sarao, filed an application in the court seeking cancellation of the bail granted to the accused by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The court has issued orders to seize the personal bond (bail bond) filed for bail. It may be mentioned here that in a special CBI court in Mohali, cases of drug trafficking were pending against the suspended DSP of Punjab Police and wrestler Jagdish Singh Bhola, a former Akali Minister and his son and former Chief Parliamentary Secretary along with his family members and many others.
