He said, the decision will go a long way in setting a progressive trend whereby big farmers will surrender their power subsidy in the interest of the state. In a statement issued here today, Mohindra said, Capt Amarinder has always led from the front and this time again he had lived up to his reputation by showing the unparalleled quality of great leadership by starting from himself to surrender the power . The minister expressed confidence that other big farmers including leaders cutting across the party lines will follow the suit in the interest of the state in general and the small and debt ridden farmers in particular. He pointed out, the state’s economy was reeling under severe strain with total debt touching around Rs two lakh crores. “The issue is too serious to be viewed with narrow partisan considerations”, he said while appealing all the political parties and their leaders to come forward and support the Chief Minister’s noble move
