CGC Jhanjeri students showcased Innovative Projects on Engineer’s Day celebrations

Students for whole India Participated

Nabaz-e-Punjab Bureau, Mohali, 15 Sep:
Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri celebrated Engineer’s Day at its campus. The function started with rich tributes paid by Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC to the Bharat Ratna awardee Sir M.Visvesarya – the architect of various prestigious Civil Engineering works in India & abroad. Dr. Subhash Chander Jain, Chairman, Computer Society of India Chd., Dr. Ritula Thakur, Assistant Professor, NITTTR Chd, Gurmeet Sharma, CEO, Founder & Technical Director EESPL Mohali were the distinguished guests of the day. More than 2500 students from different colleges of India including PEC, Punjabi University Patiala, Chandigarh University Gharuan, CGC Landran, Chitkara, LPU, YMCA Faridabad, GGI College Ludhiana, ISTC-CSIO and some students from USA and Australia participated in various technical & non-technical events organized during the function. The projects displayed by students were Robo War, Robo Race, Talent Hunt, Code Gambler, Dry Floral arrangement, Innovative Ideas, Tech Charades, Aptitude Tests, Rangoli, Junk to funk, Mehndi, Gaming, Boat O Float, Plot the Area, Q Fiesta etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that CGC lays full emphasis on developing overall personality of its students. Students having innovative ideas are given full financial and moral support by the management to put their ideas into practice. The students having hidden talent in them are encouraged to participate in various cultural & technical activities. He further added that for attaining real success in life, these qualities are also essential along with academic excellence of a student. The winners were awarded with the prizes at the end.
