Defeat of divisive politics of the BJP, people looking for credible alternatives

In Punjab, people see AAP as credible alternative to conventional parties, will wipe out Congress

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab president and MP Bhagwant Mann said that with the results of the West Bengal assembly elections, it was clear that the Congress had been decimated in the country as the people had lost hope in the party. In a statement issued from the party headquarters here on Sunday, Bhagwant Mann said that the Congress had been wiped out in West Bengal, Kerala, Assam, and Puducherry with a setback in Tamil Nadu. He said that Congress will meet a similar fate in the upcoming Punjab assembly elections in 2022 as people will wipe them out for a credible alternative as the AAP. Taking a dig at the BJP, Mann said that it was a defeat of divisive politics of the BJP. “People have voted against the politics of hate and have given a lesson to the BJP,” he added. Mann said that the results of West Bengal and Kerala elections showed that the people now preferred credible alternatives over Congress and the BJP, wherever they had an option. He said that in Punjab too, the people were fed up with the traditional parties like Akali Dal Badal and also from the Congress, and will give them a befitting reply in the upcoming 2022 elections. Mann said that the people of Punjab had given chances to SAD-BJP and the Congress for development, but these parties had backstabbed the people. He said that the people had lost faith in these parties and now sees the AAP as a credible alternative to these conventional parties; to bring about a real change. Mann said that the people had handed over the power to Badals and Captain, but their poor policies had drowned Punjab. He said that like in West Bengal and other states, the people will also oust the BJP, the Congress, and traditional parties like SAD, in the coming elections in Punjab and form the Aam Aadmi Party government.
