Congress Party has practically destroyed Punjab through its ‘Closet Chief Minister’: Bir Davinder Singh

Nabaz-e-Punjab, Chandigarh, May 26:
Former deputy speaker of Punjab legislative assembly, Bir Davinder Singh again slammed Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amaridinder Singh by alleging that the CM had ruined the state completely. He issued a statement in this regard on Wednesday. He said that the Congress party cannot absolve itself of the responsibility for destroying Punjab through its ‘Closet Chief Minister’. Capt. Amarinder Singh, despite being the plenipotentiary Chief Minister, gravely lacks the long term perspective of planning. His government suffered the blemish of policy paralysis all through his current tenure as Chief Minister and he has practically ruined the state, in almost all domains. He put the entire state craft in auto gear for an indefinite period. In his loose governance, apparently there is no mechanism of accountability at any level. Capt. Amarinder Singh as a key conspirator and a closet strategist has done more harm to his own party than any other political party, he stated.
The leader of Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) said, “It is a simple logic that no ‘Captain’ can provide leadership to the team without playing himself in the field and trusting his fellow players and leading the team from the front. The ‘closet’ conspiracies by resorting to Machiavellian tactics of cunningness and deceit to out-maneuver his own colleagues; is certainly not a nice thing to do for an upright and gentleman politician, only an evil genius could resort to such unscrupulous scheming.”
He added, “The unrestrained hyperbolic diatribe by the Chairperson of the Punjab Women Commission Manisha Ghulati against a senior Cabinet Minister Charnjit Singh Channi on a nonexistent issue, at the behest of the Chief Minister, speaks volume of the ‘closet Conspiracies’. The absurd public outburst of the Chairperson of the women commission has certainly lowered the dignity of the commission.”
In his statement, Bir Davinder writes, “I am in pain when I call Punjab a failed State that requires immediate renaissance without any further delay, though the process of resurgence is already delayed inordinately, beyond a point. The unrest among the Ministers and MLAs of the congress party manifests the perpetual decay, prevalent in the system, at all levels. The revenue earning areas of the State were illegitimately outsourced to the mafias who looted the resources of Punjab with impunity; where was the Government or the Governance when Mafias of all sorts were operating freely in Punjab? Can the Congress High Command or the Low command answer this pertinent question?”
