Nagar (Mohali), September 18: In keeping with the directions of the Education Minister, Punjab, Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary regarding the immediate implementation of the court orders concerning departmental matters, the Secretary, Education Department Mr. Krishan Kumar here today presided over a high-level meeting with the departmental officials at the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). During the course of the meeting, the court cases related with the department as well as every wing of the Punjab School Education Board were reviewed. Addressing the meeting, Mr. Krishan Kumar said that the orders pronounced by the various courts with regard to the employees must be implemented immediately. He further elaborated that sometimes, the delay in implementing the orders results in the contempt of court proceedings which leads to an awkward situation for the department as well as the wastage of time. The Secretary also directed the officers to not keep pending the cases concerning employees and dispose these off within the scheduled time frame. He also made it clear that no laxity in this regard would be tolerated. During the meeting, the court cases pertaining to all the wings were minutely reviewed and the Secretary also said that he would regularly conduct review meetings concerning the court cases. On the occasion, Special Secretary of the Department Mr. Manvesh Singh Sidhu, Joint Secretary Mr. Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu, DPI (Secondary Education) Mr. Paramjit Singh and the heads of all the wings were also present.
