District Administration ensured the supply of over 55,600 LPG gas cylinders in City

Only one LPG refill permitted in two weeks

Release order given to FCI for supplying 774 MT of wheat to flour mills

The people of the Mohali City have been supplied with 55,600 LPG gas cylinders through 31gas agencies during the curfew imposed owing to corona virus. This was disclosed here today by the Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan.
In wake of huge demand- trigger under panic, the DC assured people there is no shortage of LPG as sufficient stock is available in the district. He exhorted public not to panic .
He informed that directions have been issued to the gas agencies not to undertake the second booking for a gas cylinder refill from an LPG connection holder/consumer earlier than two weeks. This has been done in order to prevent the hoarding.
Besides this, a release order for supplying of 774 metric tonnes of Wheat to the big flour mills/ Atta Chakkies has been given to the FCI. After receiving the same from the FCI, the atta chakkies would supply the same to the karyana stores for replenishing their stocks.
The Deputy Commissioner assured public that the District Administration is also coordinating with the Sugarfed for ensuring sufficient stock of sugar sugar. There is sufficient rice available in the district as of now to cater the demand in curfew period, said he.
