District Administration serves cooked food and raw food packets to the needy in urban areas

Cooked meals served to 14657 people & 5570 raw food packets and 250 packets of milk distributed

Nabaz-e-Punjab Bureau, SAS Nagar, March 28:
The District Administration with the assistance of the Municipal Corporation and the various Gurudwaras, NGOs and Dera Beas, is actively engaged in ensuring supply of raw food packets as well as the cooked meals to the people of urban areas of Mohali City besides also helping the rural area residents. A total of 14657 people have been served cooked meals and 5570 raw food packets and 250 packets of milk have been distributed.
Disclosing this, the DC Girish Dayalan said that in the urban areas on March 25th cooked food was served to 2536 people while raw food packets were served to 737 people. On March 26th, cooked food was served to 3243 people while 1015 raw food packets were also distributed. On this day, 150 packets of milk were also distributed.
On 27th March, 8878 packets of cooked food were distributed along with 3818 packets of raw food and 100 packets of milk.
The raw food packets contain 5 Kg Atta, 2 Kg Rice, 1 Kg Dal, 1 Litre Oil and 500gms salt. The dry ration was also provided to the Gurudwaras where it was needed. The Gurudwaras in turn cooked the food which was provided to the needy people.
