FIR registered against PPCC President Raja Warring and Congress MLA Sukhpal Khaira

Nabaz-e-Punjab. Mohali, 3 Sep 2022:
The police booked PPCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and senior Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira for forgery, cheating by personation through a communication device on Saturday evening. Complainant Prabhjot Kaur alleged that the duo published and circulated a false and fabricated list of board/corporations’ chairman’s on the social media to mislead public of Punjab through forgery, today. A case under sections 465, 471 and 66-D of the IT Act at the Phase-1 police station on Saturday. Mohali SP City Akashdeep Aulakh confirmed that an FIR has been registered in this regard.

On Friday, Warring and Khaira had released a list of AAP picks for the board/corporations chairman with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s signatures. Warring had said that people’s apprehensions that the state government was being run from Delhi was proving true.

Khaira had tweeted, “It is now clear with documented evidence that Bhagwant Mann doesn’t have the authority to make Punjab govt appointments as they’re approved by Arvind Kejriwal. Had they been AAP party appointments it would be justified by Kejriwal being party head but govt posts unacceptable.”

Within an hour, AAP had termed the letter fake and warning to initiate action against “fake news peddlers of Congress”.

Mohali AAP district president Prabhjot Kaur in her statement also alleged that Khaira and Warring have forged and fabricated AAP letterhead and used false and fabricated signatures of Arvind Kejriwal
