Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Former DGP Sumedh Saini files bail plea in court in his fresh case Nabaz-e-Punjab, Chandigarh, August 5, 2021: Sumedh Singh Saini, former Punjab DGP has approached the Mohali court to seek bail in the fresh case of Punjab Vigilance Bureau registered against him. Sources said that Saini filed a bail plea in the court of Parminder Singh Grewal, Additional Session Judge, through his counsels HS Dhanoa and APS Deol. The court has also accepted his plea. It is expected that the court will announce its decision on the same on Thursday evening. Notably, Saini among 7 persons was booked by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau under Sections 109, 120-B of the IPC and 13(1)(B) and 13 (2) of the PC Act recently. The Vigilance team had also raided Saini’s residence in Sector 20 here to arrest him and it continued searching his house for several hours.
