GMADA Launches Scheme for Allotment of flats to Punjab Govt. Employees

Giving a golden opportunity to the Punjab Government Employees who want to own a dream house in SAS Nagar and New Chandigarh, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has launched a scheme of inviting applications from Punjab Government Employees for allotment of Multi Storey Flats in Sector 66 & 67, SAS Nagar (Mohali) & Sector-11, Eco City – II, New Chandigarh. So far, more than 6000 brochures of the scheme have been issued to various banks associated in the scheme for finance of earnest money, home loan and sale/receipt of application forms.
Mr. Mahesh Bansal, Estate Officer (Housing), GMADA, revealed here today that those eligible in the scheme include Employees of Punjab Government, Employees of Boards, Corporations of Punjab Government, Employees on deputation in the offices of Punjab Government (except Employees on Deputation from Government of India or other States), Employees of Punjab & Haryana High Court, Employees of PUDA, Authorities, Employees/officials of the Apex institutions working under Cooperative Deptt., Government of Punjab like Markfed, Milkfed, Punjab State Cooperative Bank, Housefed etc., Employees of Punjab Government’s funded Universities (Except Private Universities), Employees/officials of office of Advocate General, Punjab who fulfill the eligibility conditions.
The rates of the flats are quite competitive, keeping in mind the location and quality of construction said Mr. Bansal. The projects boast of ultra modern features viz. high quality construction, Gated Community and Prime location, he added. As far the payment schedule is concerned, Mr. Bansal, told that the applicants will have to pay 10% of tentative price of the flat as earnest money at the time of submitting the application. An amount Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable) will also be paid at the time of submission of application.
Brochures of the scheme have been made available at the Single Window Service Counters of various development authorities in Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Amritsar and Patiala. For the public convenience these counters will remain open on Monday also, despite it being a Government Holiday, stated the Estate Officer. The brochures are also available in various branches of the banks associated in the scheme. The scheme is closing on December 15, 2016 concluded Mr. Bansal.
