Government ITI Mohali completes agreement with industrial unit

Nabaz-e-Punjab, Mohali, July 26:
The Union and State Government has been formulating a number of programs to meet the present challenges of the young generation under which a Dual System of Training (DST) scheme has been introduced in the Industrial Training Institutes, Shamsher Purkhalvi Principal, Govt ITI (w) Mohali and District Nodal Officer addressed this while talking to local journalists.
He said as per the instructions of the Cabinet Minister of the department, Charanjit Singh Channi, under the able guidance of the Principal Secretary, Anurag Verma IAS, all the trades running in the institute by the government ITI (w) Mohali have been covered under the said DST scheme while updating the courses keep pace with the times.
He said that Sewing Technology (Cutting and Sewing) trade has been entered into an agreement with Mohali based reputed company Delco Clothing Pvt. Ltd. under which the girls enrolled in this course would be imparted one year training in the institute and one year training in the respective company, so that they will not only get to learn the work culture test but also get more employment opportunities.
Preetinder Singh, Manager of the company who was present on the occasion said that this scheme of the government would be of great benefit to the industry and the youth. A written agreement was also signed between the government ITI Mohali and the company.
Varinderpal Singh, Instructor of the Institute, Rakesh Kumar Dhalla, Upasana Attri and Rajni Banga were present on the occasion.
