Mehndi Competition and pot (karwa) painting competitions were organized on the occasion. Students of MBA, MCA, BBA and BCA participated with full enthusiasm and zeal. Ranjeet Bedi, Founder Principal, Gian Jyoti Global School also joined the students for celebration. Mrs. Bedi judged the competition and declared the winners. In pot (karwa) painting coopetition Ms. Neha, BCA-3 won 1st position where as iIn mehndi competition Ms. Rajani of BCA-1 won 1st position. Principal Bedi informed at the moment that Karwa Chauth is an important Hindu festival celebrated by married women for safety and longevity of their husbands. The festival is celebrated with much fervor in the Northern parts of India especially in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab. Gian Jyoti group’s Chairman J S Bedi encouraged the students for putting in efforts to keep this cultural and traditional art form alive. He further added that it was an endeavor to implement holistic training methodologies for overall development of its students. At the end Chairman Bedi congratulated the students and honored the winners.
