Kulwant has backstabbed his constituents to save his business empire: SAD

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today said former city Mayor Kulwant Singh had backstabbed his own constituents to save his business empire and was essentially part of the B team of city based minister Balbir Singh Sidhu.
Urging the people to snub Kulwant Singh and his gang of opportunists, Charanjit Singh Brar, a spokesman of Akali Dal said there were reports that Kulwant Singh had received threats from the Congress government that in case he did not split the SAD and contest the municipal polls as an independent his business would be destabilised. “Kulwant has proved to be a coward yet again. Earlier also in the last municipal elections he had stood as an independent to help Congress leader Balbir Sidhu. This time also he has taken on the responsibility to help the most tainted minister in Capt Amarinder Singh’s cabinet who is responsible for various scams including those of drug de-addiction tablets as well as gloves and protective kits for COVID -19 warriors. Kulwant did not even think twice before joining hands with someone who is responsible for usurping prime land near the city in the name of family trusts”.
Charanjit Singh Brar also said Congressman Balbir Sidhu should not live in a fools paradise. “The people of Mohali realise that the Congress party has done nothing for them in the last four years. All development work which has occurred in Mohali is due to the efforts of S Sukhbir Singh Badal who took it as a mission to make it a world class city. It is due to this that an International Airport and four lane inter connectivity was achieved in Mohali during the SAD led government under the leadership of S Parkash Singh Badal”.
Stating that Mohali had faced discrimination during Congress rule, SAD spokesman said chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh had not added a single new project to the city during the last four years. “The chief minister should tell on what grounds his party is seeking votes in Mohali”, he asked while appealing to the people of the city to reject the Congress party and its B team including the Kulwant Singh group completely in the municipal polls.
