The Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT) celebrated Basant Panchami with great zeal, marking the onset of spring and honoring Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom, knowledge, and arts. The institute was adorned in hues of yellow, symbolizing prosperity, energy, and positivity.
NIIFT students showcased their creativity through a vibrant cultural program. The event featured traditional folk performances, musical renditions, and an artistic display of Basant-themed fashion creation. The fusion of traditional and contemporary designs highlighted the institute’s commitment to blending culture with modern fashion trends.
Speaking on the occasion,Dr.Shweta Sharma, Cultural Head expressed, “Basant Panchami signifies new beginnings and creativity, aligning perfectly with NIIFT’s vision of nurturing artistic talent. This celebration is an opportunity for our students to connect with cultural heritage while channeling their creative expression through fashion and art.”
The event concluded with a kite-flying session, where students and faculty participated enthusiastically, celebrating the spirit of Basant.
