The police also did not find any clue about the murderer. On Tuesday morning, the victim’s body was recovered by the police near the tubewell opposite a private school in Sector 69. According to the police, she was attacked by a brick multiple times on her head and was also strangulated by the murderer. The police had recovered the brick containing blood stains near from the murder site. Inspector Rajnish Choudhary, Station House Officer of Phase 8 police station said, “The dead body of the victim is still kept inside the mortuary of civil hospital in Phase 6. The woman, who looks around 18 years of age, has not been identified yet. She was a migrant labourer. We have circulated the information with the Chandigarh and Panchkula police too so that she can be identified by her family. The investigation is on to find and nab the murderer.” There is no confirmation about any sexual assault as the post mortem of the victim will be conducted after 24 hours, said the SHO.
