Over speeding sedan claims life of Pinjore man, one woman injured

A 30-year-old man died while his 40-year-old female friend got injured in a road accident after their speeding car overturned on the Airport road during the wee hours of Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Hatish Walia, a resident of Pinjore in Haryana. Hatish was working in a private company in Kurali here.
As per the police, the mishap took place around 3 am today when the deceased was travelling in his white Suzuki Dzire with his female friend from Chhat village towards Sohana. On reaching near Airport chowk, the speeding sedan lost its control and hit the divider of the road following which the car bounced in the air and overturned multiple times on the other side of the road. Hitesh fell out of the car and sustained severe injuries after his head got hit on the road surface. His friend also got injured, but managed to survive. The impact of the accident was so strong that the car got totally damaged. On getting the information, the deceased along with his friend was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Phase 6 where doctors declared him brought dead.
“The woman has a fracture in her leg and is admitted in the Civil Hospital. She was unconscious and not able to record her statement yet. The post mortem of the deceased was conducted today and his body was handed over to the family members,” said Assistant Sub Inspector Satpal Singh, who is the investigation officer.
The deceased is survived by his wife and a two-year-old son.
Sohana police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC (code of criminal procedure) on the statement of the deceased’s father, Bahadur Singh, in this regard.
