Disclosing this here today a spokesman of Vigilance Bureau Punjab said Satish Kumar, Patwari, posted at halqa Noorwala in Ludhiana district and agent Raman Singh of village Dheri in Ludhiana district were caught red handed. He said both accused were demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 4000 from Mr. Jyoti Sharma, a complainant of from Haibowal Kalan, district Ludhiana. Giving details he said the complainant approached the VB and alleged that the above named accused were demanding bribe of Rs. 4000 for mutation of his land. After verifying his complaint the VB team laid a trap and both the accused were caught red handed and tainted money was recovered from them in the presence of two official witnesses. He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against both the accused at VB police station Ludhiana and further investigation was under progress.
