Perpetrators of Kotkapura & Behbal Kalan firing to be behind bars soon: Tript Bajwa

Cabinet ministers Tript Bajwa, Sukh Sarkaria along with many Congress MLAs attend ‘Barsi’ of youths killed in firing

Nabaz-e-Punjab Bureau, Chandigarh, October 14:
“The Punjab Government is dutybound to give justice to the victims of Behbal Kalan and Bargari firing incidents and the perpetrators would be behind the bars very soon. Due to some legal issues connected with the probe, the matter is facing delays but those responsible for the
horrendous happening would face the law.” Reiterating this while attending the third ‘Barsi’ of the youths killed in the firing at
behbal kalan and bargari, senior congress leader and cabinet minister S. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa said that the Chief Minister Captain
Amarinder Singh wants to ensure punishment to those behind the incident without leaving any room for loopholes. He also made it clear
that any officer trying to save his skin by resorting to the legal impediments would see the government removing all such loopholes so as to make sure that nobody responsible for the firing incident gets away scot free. It is worth mentioning that the Congress leaders lead by the cabinet minister S. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa and including cabinet minister Mr. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, MLAs Mr. Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, Mr. Harminder Singh Gill, Ex MLA Mr. Muhammad Sadiq today first attended the ‘Barsi’ of Krishan Bhagwan Singh at his native village behbal kalan and then attended the ‘Barsi’ of another killed youth Gurjit
Singh at his village sarawaan.
Addressing the people at village sarawaan, S. Bajwa said that the previous badal government had revived the memory of Jallianwala Bagh
massacre by resorting to firing upon those protesting in a peaceful manner against the sacrilege of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The
minister further said that the people still feel anguished and pained over the incidents of the stealing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and
it’s torn pages being found in the streets besides firing upon those engaging in peaceful protest against such horrendous incidents.
On the occasion, while accepting the development oriented demands of the people of both the villages, Mr. Bajwa assured them regarding the early fulfillment of these. He also gave an assurance that the demand with regard to the construction of a grain market at village sarawaan
and divulged that he would get the demand met by the Mandi Board by taking up the issue with the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.He
further said that personally too he would impress upon the Chairman Mandi Board Mr. Lal Singh to acceed to the just demand. S. Bajwa further elaborated that the Captain Amarinder Singh led government had provided jobs as well as the financial assistance to the families of the victims of kotkapura and behbal kalan firing incidents. Now also the government won’t shirk from it’s responsibility of giving every possible assistance to the victim families and no stone would be left unturned to ensure the all round development of the villages to which the deceased youth belonged.
