Against Fraudulent Agents selling fake forms of Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao scheme Nabaz-e-Punjab Bureau, Chandigarh, September 2: The Punjab Government instructed all deputy commissioners and district police authorities to register F.I.R. against fraudulent agents selling fake forms of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme’. Disclosing this, an official spokesperson of the state government said that taking the cognizance of media reports in which it has been alleged that some individuals/organizations are selling fake forms for the registration of beneficiaries to claim cash incentive of Rs. 2.00 lakh provided to girls under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme’. The spokesperson said that Social Security, Women and Child Development Department clearly specified that the BBBP Scheme has no provision for individual cash component and it is not a DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) scheme. He said that State Government instructed the all deputy commissioners and Police departments to register F.I.R. against fraudulent, in order to protect the general public from the trap of fraud agents. He said that Social Security department advised the people to be vigilant against such fraudulent agents who were collecting money from the innocent people under the garb of this scheme. It has also been advised that if anyone found selling the form , the matter must immediately be brought to the notice of district administration and department’s official so that appropriate action could be taken against such anti social elements.
