Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said head constable Lakhvir Singh and Constable Gurbinder Singh both posted at Police Station Sadar Chak Duhewala in Sri Mukatsar Sahib district were nabbed red handed on the complaint of Dilbagh Singh of village Buttar Sharinh district Sri Mukatsar Sahib. The Complainant has approached the VB that the accused head constable and constable were demanding Rs. 10,000 for helping him to make a compromise with the complainant. The complainant further said that he had already given Rs. 10,000 as a bribe to them. After verifying his information, the Vigilance team laid a trap and the accused head constable and constable were arrested on the spot while accepting bribe of Rs. 10000 from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses. He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against both the accused at VB police station Ferozepur and further investigation was under progress.
