Punjabi singer R Nait assaulted by video producers

Punjabi singer Naitram, popularly known as R Nait, complained to the police that he along with his two accomplices was assaulted by his video producers over monetary issues at Homeland Towers in Sector 70 here.
R Nait, a resident of Dharampura village in Mansa district, alleged that on Sunday evening, he along with his accomplices, was present inside a park at Homeland Towers, where the singer is staying presently. Meanwhile, around 10 persons came there and attacked them. During the scuffle, the turban of his accomplice, identified as Veerinder Singh, also fell down, the singer alleged.
The suspects have been identified as Sharan, Armaan, Mahi, Joban, Mangal and Sehajpal along with 10 to 15 unidentified persons.
R Nait said in his complaint to the police that he had paid them ₹ 3.5 lakh extra for a video of his song, which was produced by them. When he asked them for returning the extra amount, the suspects exchanged heated arguments with him and they attacked him. After the incident, the suspects also gave life threats to him before leaving the spot, R Nait added.
A case has been registered against the suspects under Sections 323, 452, 506, 149, 120-B of the IPC at the Mataur police station.
“We have registered the case against the suspects. No arrest has been made yet as we are verifying the whole matter. After the investigation, the action will be taken against the suspects,” said DSP (city 1) Gursher Singh.
