Purandhi Gupta is new president of Rotaract Club Shimla

Purandhi Gupta has been appointed as the president of Rotaract Club Midtown Shimla on Sunday. The installation ceremony of new chief of club along with her team for 2022-23 was held at the Rotary Club Hall at The Mall here. Shivansh Sharma (District Rotaract representative) was the chief guest, J.K. Pathak (President, Rotary Club Shimla Midtown) was the guestof honour and Asmita Seth Dutta was the special guest on this occasion. After lighting the lamp, the chief guest pinned the new office bearers of the club for 2022-23. President Purandhi Gupta and her whole team took oath in the presence of all guests present there. The new president of the club, Purandhi Gupta, said that the Rotaract Club is the youth wing of the Rotary Club Shimla. The new team of the club will work for the social welfare and environment, said Gupta.

She added that this year the club will follow ‘growth with gratitude’ theme and a programme in this regard will also be organised at the international level. “The club will work for the welfare of single women and several programs/campaigns will be held to save environment and plant trees. The club has also adopted a school of Shimla and the students will be taught under various programs,” announced the new appointed president.
