Renovation of sports stadium in Mohali at a cost of around Rs 5 crore to provide quality sports facilities to sportsmen: DC

Aashika Jain directs to open phase-5 sports stadium for players in two weeks

Nabaz-e-Punjab, Mohali, May 11:
SAS Nagar Deputy Commissioner Ms. Aashika Jain said that five stadiums in Mohali city have been renovated at a cost of about 5 crore rupees to provide better sports facilities to the players.
While reviewing the renovation work of the phase-5 sports stadium here today, the Deputy Commissioner said that the stadiums of Phase 5, 6, 7, 11 and Sector 71 of Mohali city have been renovated so that the players can practice in better environment with quality sports facilities. These stadiums are being managed by GAMADA. The phase-5 sports stadium has badminton, basketball and table-tennis courts in addition to a swimming pool.
The Deputy Commission also directed the officials to open the phase-5 sports stadium for the players in two weeks as these stadiums have been closed due to renovation. Ms. Aashika Jain said that the aim of the district administration is to provide the best facilities to the sportspersons so that they can shine the name of the district in the country and the world.
On this occasion, Chief Engineer GAMADA Mr. Balwinder Singh, Mr. Ajay Garg, XEN Mr. Pankaj Maini and EXN Mr. Varun Garg besides technical staff were also present.
