Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Short-film competition on Electoral process: Aashika Jain Nabaz-e-Punjab Bureau, SAS Nagar, September 4: A free and fair election is not only about the freedom to vote and the knowledge of how to cast a vote, but also about a participatory process where voters engage in public debate and have adequate information about parties, policies, candidates and the election process itself in order to make informed choices. So, focusing on engaging citizens with the Electoral process, the Office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Punjab is organizing a short film contest for students, informed Aashika Jain , ADC- cum- Additional District Electoral Officer, SAS Nagar. She informed that the competition is open to the students of media/mass communication/journalism/engineering. The topic of the contest is “Cleaning up the Electoral System – Towards Informed and Ethical Elections” The contest will be in two categories namely Short Video Film and Animation/Motion Graphics. Duration of the film should not exceed 5 minutes. Film can be in English, Hindi or Punjabi. A jury consisting of eminent filmmakers will adjudge the entries and first three winners in each category will get cash prize of Rs. 5,000/-, Rs. 3,000/- and Rs. 2,000/- respectively. The participants are required to upload their short movie to google drive and share the link onunced on 2 October, 2020.
