Students of Aryans Group of Colleges participates in Adventure Camp at Goa

Mohali, December 18
4 members team of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh has participated in 3 days “Young India Adventure Racing Championship” organized by Adventure Racing Federation of India (AFRI) from 9-11 December in the coastal, Forest, Mountaineers regions of Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka.
Chief Minister of Goa, Mr. Francis D’Souza and Rajya Sabha Member of Maharashtra Sh. Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati flagged off this 100 Kms – 24 hour continuous race. More than 25 teams of schools & Colleges from various parts of India participated in this race.
The Chairman and Founder of Lokmanya Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Kiran Thakur distributed the certificates & gifts to the participating team & winners and appreciated the efforts done by all the teams to make the race successful.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that these races will motivate the youth of India and inculcate in them the spirit of adventure and other sporting activities. Such events will give a boost to tourism in these remote parts of India & create jobs for the youth as well.
General JJ Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd) (Ex Army Chief), Former Governor, Arunachal Pradesh & Founder President of Adventure Racing Federation of India said that the adventure race was organized for the first time in these areas and covered successfully. “Participants including students, Adults, Media persons participated actively in trekking & trailing, mountain biking, river rafting etc” he added.
