Theives strike at a private firm office, took away ₹ 3.72 lakh cash, 20 POS machines and a DVR

Nabaz-e-Punjab, Mohali, October 15:
Some unidentified persons conducted theft at a online delivery based private firm’s office in Kumbra village here and decamped with cash worth Rs 3.72 lakh, 20 card swipe machines and a DVR.
The manager of the company, Gurdeep Singh submitted his complaint to the police last night in which he stated that the incident took place on the night of October 11 when the office was shut. Next morning, he noticed that the locks of the gate lying broken and the cash amount along with POS (Point of Sale) machines found missing. He said that the miscreants also took away the DVR recorder with them which records and stores the footages of the CCTV cameras.
ASI Rakesh Kumar, the investigation officer in this case, said, “The incident took place on October 11 but the company manager has informed us last night as they were investigating the case at their own level then. We have registered a case and started investigation. There is no clue about the suspects yet but we will arrest them soon.”
A case has been registered against the unidentified suspects under Sections 457 (lurking house-trespass or house-breaking by night in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment) and 380 (theft in dwelling house) of the IPC at the Phase 8 police station.
