The suspects have been identified as Kulwant Singh, a resident of majri block in Mohali and Ranjodh Singh, a resident of Ropar. According to the police, the two suspects have been arrested following the complaint of mining inspector Rohit Kumar. As per the FIR, Rohit Kumar the mining inspector alleged in his complaint that he along with his team intercepted two tipper trucks in Majri block in which one truck was transporting sand and the second one was transporting gravel. When the truck drivers were asked to produce requisite permission to transport the sand and gravel, the truck drivers failed to produce the same and neither they were able to produce the copy of details of procuring the raw material for the gravel. The duo was nabbed on the spot and their tippers were also impounded by the cops. A case has been registered at police station Sadar Kharar under sections 4(1) and 21(1) of the mining act.
