Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin VB recovers bribe money of Rs. 1 lakh from accused naib tehsildar’s driver Nabaz-e-Punjab Bureau, Chandigarh December 29: Punjab Vigilance Bureau today recovered bribe money of Rs. 1 lakh from Jagjit Singh Jagga, driver of accused Naib Tehsildar Surinder Kumar Pabby, who was absconding with bribe amount since the arrest of later in a vigilance trap on December 5 at Ajitwal in Moga district. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the VB said the Bureau got two days vigilance remand of accused Jagga from the Mohali court. During investigation Jagga confessed that he was asked by the Naib Tehsildar to accept bribe money on his behalf from the complainant Darshan Singh Sidhu. The accused also revealed that he was told by the Naib Tehsildar to escape from the back door of his office and meet him later in Moga city. He further confessed that he had hidden the bribe money in his village in a haveli. The spokesperson informed that during the remand the bribe money was recovered on his demarcation in the presence of official witnesses. The accused driver had also confessed that a fake ID card depicting him as a driver in state Revenue department was also created by the accused Naib Tehsildar. He said the further investigations in this case was under progress.
