Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Vigilance nabs dental doctor for taking bribe of Rs.8500 Nabaz-e-Punjab Bureau, Chandigarh, August 21: State Vigilance Bureau today nabbed a dental doctor Surjeet Chaudhary posted at PHC Bhawanigarh, Sangrur district red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 8500. Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau Punjab said the accused doctor was arrested on the complaint of Nirbhai Singh of villager Masani, tehsil Bhawanigarh, Sangrur district. The complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the accused doctor was demanding bribe Rs. 8500 for the treatment of teeth of his wife. He further said that he had already paid Rs. 2,000 as bribe to the accused doctor regarding this treatment. After verifying his information, a vigilance team laid a trap and the accused doctor was arrested on the spot while taking bribe of Rs. 8500 from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses. He informed that a case under various sections of prevention of corruption act has been registered against him at VB police station, Patiala and further investigation is under progress.
