VIGILANCE NABS SALES TAX INSPECTOR ACCEPTING BRIBE

Nabaz-e-Punjab Bureau, CHANDIGARH, APRIL 19:
The sleuths of Vigilance Bureau today achieved a major breakthrough in its campaign against corruption by nabbing a Inspector of sales tax red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 6000.
Disclosing this, official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that Inspector Bhupinder Singh posted at Sales tax barrier Sardulewala of District Mansa was nabbed on the complaint of Diwan Chand son of Hardwari Lal resident of Purana Bazar, Sardulgarh.
In his complaint Diwan Chand informed that he owned an iron store named Jain Steels at Sardulgarh. He alleged that Inspector Bhupinder Singh had demanded bribe of Rs. 6000 for passing two goods carrier vehicles from Sardulewala sales tax barrier without charging entry fees. He further informed that he has required bills but still Inspector Bhupinder Singh was demanding bribe.
