Youth stabbed to death in Phase 6 market, police fail to find the murderer

Nabaz-e-Punjab Bureau, Mohali, November 30:
A 35-year-old man was allegedly killed by an unknown person following a scuffle in Phase 6 market last evening here.
The victim has been identified as Kuljinder Singh Dhillon, a resident of Balongi village here. Kuljinder was staying in a rented accommodation here with his wife. He was into the illegal business of liquor sale in Sector 56, Chandigarh, said the police.
As per the information obtained from Superintendent of Police (City) Harwinder Singh Virk, Kuljinder was standing in Phase 6 near Shivalik Public School with his friends and in the meantime some heated arguments took place between him and another party. When the situation became worse, one of the unidentified persons took a sharp edged knife and attacked the victim. The accused fled from the spot leaving behind the victim in a pool of blood. The victim was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Phase 6 by the an auto driver where doctors declared him brought dead.
“It has been learnt that the victim was evicted from his family. We have started the investigation in this regard and the murderer will be nabbed soon,” said SP Virk.
The post mortem of the victim was conducted today at the Civil Hospital in Phase 6 and the body was handed over to his family. A case of murder has been registered on the statement of the victim’s wife, Nisha, at the Phase 1 police station.
